Social Desk Mailbox

A small private tool for the Freerun brand.

Social Desk Mailbox is a private, single-owner tool that helps the owner of the Freerun brand keep up with the brand's own Gmail inbox. It checks for new mail every few minutes and flags the messages that matter, such as security alerts from social platforms, policy or copyright notices, and business enquiries, so nothing important is missed.

What it does

• Connects to the brand's Google account with the read-only Gmail permission (gmail.readonly).
• Reads each recent message's sender, subject, date and Gmail's short preview text.
• Sorts the messages with simple rules and shows the owner a short summary.

What it never does

• It cannot send, reply to, delete, label, archive or draft any email.
• It does not open links in emails or enter codes anywhere.
• It is not offered to the public: there is nothing to sign up for. Only the brand's owner connects an account.
